About New Forest Baseball
New Forest Baseball is a fully inclusive, mixed gender, not-for-profit club that was founded in 2022. We welcome anyone over the age of 16 from across the New Forest and surrounding areas.
We started as the ThunderKnights, with just 9 founding members. But the club grew so quickly that after our first year we split into two adult teams; Thunder & Knights (although we’re all still ThunderKnights at heart).
We play at Gang Warily Recreation Centre, having been given permission to build our own “field of dreams” there in 2025, the first permanent, purpose-built baseball diamond in the New Forest.
The ThunderKnights are built on three core principles: Growth, Community & Fun.
We are committed to growing the game of baseball across the New Forest and surrounding areas, while nurturing a friendly, inclusive club culture where everyone feels they belong. We welcome players of all backgrounds and experience levels, with many discovering baseball for the first time through our club. They come for the sport, and stay for the friendships.
Above all, we believe baseball should be enjoyable. We aim to make every training session, game day and social event engaging, supportive, and fun. By striking this balance, we’re building more than a team. We’re creating a community that supports and connects people across the local area.
